G. Seller Ethos and Procedures

11th March 2024

Following a lot of press regarding the removal of a number of deceased loved ones from an independent funeral director’s premises, we wanted to reassure and reiterate the G. Seller ethos and procedures for everyone we are privileged to care for.

•  We are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) who both have stringent codes of practice to abide by. They carry out inspections of their members premises to maintain compliance.

• The care of deceased loved one’s is sacrosanct to the G. Seller ethos and we check on all loved one’s in our care regularly and have an auditable log of this.

• Every deceased person is brought into our care individually in a conveyance vehicle, not in the back of a van with multiple other people.

• Our premises is designed to always maintain dignity and reverence and all areas are managed to not allow anybody to have access to a deceased loved one unless they need to.

There is a common misconception that the funeral profession is regulated, although we do feel it is on the horizon and are advocates of it being so.

It is our vocation to look after families, how we’d like to be treated ourselves and have an open door policy for any family to be able to see our facilities so you can be rest assured of the highest standards we have in place.
