Wal passed away peacefully at LOROS on Monday 13th April, aged 74, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a dearly loved husband to Janice, a treasured dad to Adam and Hannah, and a devoted pop pop to Gracie and William.

Respecting Wal’s wishes, there will be no funeral.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at LOROS for the care and compassion shown to Wal in his final days. Donations in his memory will help support their continued work and the care they provide to other families.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

When I think of my childhood I think of Wally, friends with Grandad and Dad for many years. Wally built our extension to the house and discovered an old air raid shelter!
