Simon passed away peacefully on 23rd September 2025, aged 56 years, after a brave battle with illness.

Much loved son, brother, uncle and friend to many.

The funeral service will be held at the Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton, on Wednesday 15th October 2025, at 1:15pm.

It was Simon’s wish for no black or formal clothes to be worn, so please wear something with a splash of colour.

Messages Of Condolence

On behalf of the whole team at the Salvation Army Donation Centre at Hinckley we would like to pay our love and respect to Simon, he was a kind and gentle person who will be truly missed by us all.

Simon has been a member of the Hinckley Amateur Radio & Electronics Club since July 1996. Passing his Radio Amateurs Exam to gain the callsign M1BXT.
During his time he has held the roles of Secretary, Treasurer and also a committee member, whilst also managing health problems. His keenness of the hobby meant he collected quite a range of radios to talk to people all over the world, from a wire draped around his back garden. He has been a bright face and personally can say always engaged with the other members. A kind thank you to Mark Burrows who supported Simon and the family standing by his side until the end. Love from us all.
