For those who are able to attend, Sally asked that the dress code be ‘formal but comfortable’, with the overall event being ‘more wedding than funeral’. The funeral and wake will be precisely that, a celebration.

No flowers please. Donations may be made in memory of Sally payable to 'Neuroendocrine Cancer UK' c/o G Seller Independent Funeral Directors, 75 Upper Bond Street, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 1RH. Tel: 01455 637457, or by following the link at the top of this page.

Some more information on the charity and the family’s reasons for selecting are set out below:
We would love to be able to suggest donations to a charity that helped Sally through the last few months, but the pace and improbability of her condition, adrenal cortical cancer, combined with overstretched and underfunded services, meant that there was no such support available in time.

We have since been in touch with Neuroendocrine Cancer UK, who provide valuable information and awareness about these rare cancers and, crucially from our perspective, mental health support for people suffering from them. Any donations gratefully received in Sally's memory will go towards expanding their reach and capacity for this essential and often overlooked assistance.
