Phyllis was a very special Auntie to me and I have many happy memories of spending time with her as a child and in later years.
She was kind, always cheerful, practical, fun loving and very family oriented.
I have cherished memories of spending school holidays with her in Littleworth, having a ride on the back of her moped (as a child!), riding her friends horse around Horspath and her visiting us lots in Eynsham.
As a young teenager, she always treated me like a grown-up and I enjoyed staying with her and Louisa in her flat in Oxford and enjoying meals out with her in later years.
With her sister Dawn, she was unbelievably kind to us when our own Mum died, spending the whole night with us and helping us afterwards with her funeral and checking in with us regularly.
She was an amazing lady and will be very much missed in our family by everyone.
You will always be loved and never forgotten Phyl xxx

Whenever I think of Phyllis I always remember an old photo of me and Jason - I'm no older than 5, wearing a bright red dress with a matching mop cap, he's in a hand-made suit. We were the bee's knees! Our whole attire, made by 'our Aunty Phyllis'. It always makes me chuckle. I have too many memories for this small space, but she really was a wonderful woman; creative, passionate and so talented. I'll always remember her as she once was, she will be truly missed xxx

Thank you for all the wonderful memories, you'll always be remembered xxxx

Phyllis was my first and best friend. We used to joke that we had met before we were even born. We went to Primary School together, sharing a desk and an inkwell. We sat together on the school bus to Holton Park Grammar School. We were in the same patrol in Guides, Red Rose. We joined Rangers together, went to Youth Club together. I played at her house and she played at mine. I designed a dress, and Phyllis with her superb dressmaking skills, cut a pattern and made it for me. In later years we saw less of each other, but still kept in touch with the phone calls and visits. I always knew Phyllis was a true friend. When we met up, even after a long period, the years would melt away and and we would be finishing each other's sentences just like we used to. Dementia robbed me of some the friend I once had and now death has robbed me of the rest. At Guide campfires we would sing a song 'Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold.' Phyllis was true gold. My sympathy goes out to all her family and friends.
