"Eavesy!" - I can hear you hollar at my shy face in the humanities area, trying to get me to shout back and demonstrate some form of confidence! You were an inspirational teacher, who encouraged me achieve great things and be the best version of myself. I'm devastated to hear that you're no longer with us, I am so so sorry. I hadn't seen John for many years but this news came as a blow. Hard to think of a guy so full of life being taken so soon. I taught with Badger back in the 80s, sharing laughs in the infamous Humanities staffroom, sharing many beers on football tours. A lovely man. RIP Badger.

Dear Bec, Ella, Erin and family,
You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
When we think of John we think of a smiling face and incredible warmth and charisma. He made everyone he came into contact with feel valued and cared for.
Aisling remembers her Geography lessons with great fondness. John’s classes were always so much fun because of his cheerfulness, wonderful sense of humour and imaginative explanations. John celebrated each student for who they were, never judging, just eager to help them become a better version of themselves and discover their passion. He was a phenomenal teacher and person and because of this he undoubtedly changed so many people’s lives for the better. Thank you, John.
With love,
The Lynch-Kelly family.

Deepest condolences to Bec and the girls. John was a huge part of our lives when we worked with him at JCC. A wonderful colleague and friend, who looked out for both of us as new teachers as well as providing lots of laughs in the infamous humanities staffroom. We will always remember him. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I didn't know John and only 'knew' him through Rae and Dave I can feel your pain and sorrow. Beaming light to Bec and family.

Such sad news about one of life's true gents. Taught me geography and was an inspirational rugby coach 1980-83. John wasn't much older than us and I was lucky to remain friends with him throughout our lives.rip John and condolences to your family.
