All my thoughts and prayers are with the Mcdonald family today 🙏 I'm absolutely gutted I can't make the funeral due to ill health. John Mcdonald you were such a delight to know all these years, such a caring and charismatic man who was so funny! You're the only person I know that could take hour's to get through the town precinct because of talking to everyone along the way lol...Always had time for people! I'll miss you Daddy John 💙 Give Emm a big hug from me Xxx

Mac what can I say you started coming into my little roadside cafe , not long after I started running it . You was a true gent , we had some laughs and you liked to give me some stick sometimes in a funny way. I remember wrapping black bags around you when it was raining so you didn’t get wet on your scooter. We had some lovely chats about your loving family and you about the passing of your lovely daughter . You will always hold a place in my heart . Sweets dreams xx I was happy to be asked to do the catering for your wake and hopefully I will do you proud . Lots of love Angie xx

I miss you my darling brother, my iPad doesn’t ping all night because of your messages. I would ring you every morning and not being able to leaves a hole in my heart. Thank you for giving me Yvette as a sister and Mike as a brother along with all the family. Lots of love .

Dearest Aunty Yvette & all the family.

Uncle John was a daily message of love and support. He always thought of everyone else and made sure to send his love. We will miss him dearly, especially our dad Mike.

We as a family, know what it is to love another; indeed a stranger who became family, with such purity and with devotion….because of the MacDonald family….and that is a beautiful legacy x
