I came to work with John at the ESBS in 1960 and will always remember how kind he and Sylvia were to me and my new husband Joe. I remember us going to a tennis club social and to Coventry to see Roy Castle, amongst other things. A true gentleman - may he rest in peace.
My condolences to Sylvia and the family.
