Joan Millington

of Nuneaton, formerly Hinckley, passed away peacefully in the George Eliot Hospital on 23rd June 2021 aged 94 years. Beloved wife to the late Mick and a loving mother, grandma and great grandma. Funeral service to take place at Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton on Monday 12th July at 4:15pm. Family flowers only please. Donations may be sent payable to 'SCOPE' c/o G.Seller 'Independent Funeral Directors' 75 Upper Bond Street, Hinckley, LE10 1RH. Tel: 01455 637457.

Remembering Joan, my first headmistress at St Nicholas Primary School, in the early 1970s, and later a family friend when will lived close by in the Rills, in Hinckley. Joan and Mick were brilliant company, Joan's kindness, and great warmth and presence perfectly complementing Mick's wicked sense of humour: fond memories of Christmas drinks and Mick's fabulous mine pies. I hope they are together now, having as much fun as they did down here x
