Our dearest Joan,
So so sad to hear the news of your passing…
You were the heart ❤️ and sole of the town, my earliest memory of you I think was walking in the back door and finding me and Claire drunk,
Oh I remember the shouting…
Even 35 years later …lol 😂
You were always their for me give me a good talking to when I’d done wrong… appreciate it so much…
You and Claire were even their to help my mum along when I was very poorly 😷
You were always the same, consistent and never changing.. admired you for that…
You touched the hearts ♥️ of everyone you meet.. even though we can’t see you’re Face anymore…
Your memory will forever live on in our hearts 💕
My love hugs goes out to you and all your family at this sad 😢 time..
Gone but never forgotten…
Much love ❤️
Until we meet again..

Well Joan where do I start ? Firstly I’m gutted I didn’t get to see you before you left us that’s for sure. I’ll have to try dust off the memory bank to when we first met way back in 1992 I think when Claire brought a stray home one day with her lol. I soon became great friends with you Roger Paul and Simon and was quickly invited in and treated as family. I have some great memories from back then. Going to Prestatyn on a holiday and also visiting your mum down in ramsbury with you all. Also whenever I turned up with wayne or trev with me they usually got a slap up the head just for being with me 😂. Your 70th party at Ashby road was a good night and sadly we won’t be with you for the big 80 but I’m sure there will be a drink happening somewhere 🍺👌🏼. The last time I bumped into you both was outside the shop on Clifton way a few years ago. If only I knew it would be the last time I’d see you I would have talked for longer but I had to rush off 😔. Rest easy much love Ian and the Kyle family xx

Such fond memories of the Hands family! Playing cards, being amazed at your Sky TV, jealous of Clare allowed to have two packets of crisps whilst watching 90’s hits on MTV. Simon getting me in trouble at the airport….
Mum always enjoyed catching up with Joan & Roger.
My condolences to you all. She was a character alright!
Love, Melissa xx

Wow Joan. I can't believe you've left us behind. Lovely lady and always had a smile on her face when she was a dinner lady at Redmoor High school back in the 2000's. I always made sure I have her a bit of stick and gave her some back chat too.
It's been a pleasure to have known you. And I hope your at peace now.
R.I.P Joan and fly high x
