Douglas Smith

10th May 1926 — 3rd Aug 2019

Former Headmaster of Michael Drayton Junior School, Hartshill (1972 - 1991)

of Hinckley, passed away peacefully in The Limes Care Home on the 3rd August 2019 aged 93 years. Beloved husband to the late Joyce and a loving dad to David and Carolyn. Funeral service to take place at St Catherine's Parish Church, Burbage on Thursday 22nd August at 12:00 noon followed by interment in Hinckley Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or donations payable to 'Client Charitable Donations Fund' c/o G.Seller, 'Independent Funeral Directors' 75 Upper Bond Street, Hinckley, LE10 1RH. Tel: 01455 637457.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Uncle Jack recently. He was the eldest of three, and lived the longest. I know his younger brother, Jeff, and sister, Betty (my Mum) will be looking forward to having a 'Smith' catch up! I'm also sure Uncle Jack will be pleased to be reunited with Auntie Joyce and Carolyn.

Please accept my sincere condolences, David, on the loss of your Dad. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
