Nulli Secundus - I was commissioned by Louise to create a special piece of fused glass art for this lovely, courageous and exceptionally brave man who exemplified his regiments motto his whole life. It was a total pleasure to make and I was able to get to know the funny and kind David as a result. RIP David. Love to Louise, Garry and family ❤️💂🏻♀️💜

I still can’t believe my ‘old marra’ has gone and flown this mortal coil. There are days when I reach for my phone to message him about something useless or another - then realise he isn’t here - as we would often chat and laugh.
Having known Dave for over 36 years, from when we first met at the YDU, I really got to know his wonderful and cheeky sense of humour (something we shared). A bright and intelligent human being with a heart of gold. We stayed friends since that first encounter in September 1989 and, often reminiscing about our lives’ pre and post spinal cord injury - the good, bad and everything in between. I’ll never forget sharing a room with you in a freezing Blackpool hotel!
I will miss you, rest in peace.
