I still can’t quite grasp this news.
Danny was a friend, easy to speak to and easy to deal with, but what stood him apart was his ability to bring people together, I always felt included. He never wanted to be at the front but always made sure everyone was included and connected, and always done with a bit of humour and fun. It made no difference if it was work or social. He will be truly missed. Thinking of everyone affected especially those closest to Danny.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Danny. He was a remarkable leader, and a kind and thoughtful colleague who touched the lives of many.
His presence and warmth will be truly missed.
My heart goes out to Danny’s family, friends and colleagues.

I met Danny on 19th September 2007. We were both new starters on that day at Edbro. During my time at Edbro/Jost Danny had several well deserving promotions…. all well deserved. He brought intelligence, fun and plain hardwork to the job, and will be foundry remembered by all who met him. Our sincere condolences to Carlisle and the family. David & Dawn Nesbitt

I first met Danny when he took over from Richard Hayes, big shoes to fill, but he filled them perfectly. He was always on hand to help with any 'emergency' and his expert advice was called upon on many occasions. Having started as customer/supplier we quickly became friends, indeed we were in contact with each other early in March when Danny celebrated his birthday.
Many memories, rugby internationals at Twickenham, where he was the perfect host, one cricket visit to The Oval where it rained all day and we had to source other forms of entertainment! Indoor golf was suggested, followed by a few beers, and a walk around the capital to find somewhere to eat, losing a few of our group on the way!
Although I retired in 2021, Danny kept in touch, testament to the fact that we had a lasting friendship, I send Carlie and all of her family, and Danny's JOST family too my deepest condolences.
