So sad to hear my old friend has gone, friends since we were toddlers.
You will be missed, rest in peace Andy.
Mark Stephenson
That was a beautiful service and I know Andy would be so proud his girls Jess & Katie for reading that lovely poem in front of us all. Our love goes out to all the family.

When I first moved to Hinckley, Andy was among those who helped me settle in and feel at home. Over many evenings and leisurely days out, it was my privilege to get to know Andy and call him my friend. He was a model of good, old-fashioned values: kind and thoughtful; passionate about rugby, without being obsessive; deeply attached to his family. He is much missed, and will remain so. Sincerest sympathy to Andy's family.

Remembering visits to the Edwards' family home on Station Road in the 1960s, and that same cheeky smile. He often looked as though he was plotting some mischief as he tried to muscle in on our girly chats! I remember him with fondness. My brother Richard, who was at school with Andy, sends his sympathies. With deepest condolences to all the family, Cate and Stuart

I’ll always think of Andy beaming with that warm and cheeky Edwards grin. It’s so difficult to imagine a missing link in the Edwards sibling chain so just remember the bond between you will never be broken, and Andy will live on in his daughters and grandchildren. Our love to all of you, Deryn and Graham

I have always loved you and will always miss you.

Don’t know whether this is appropriate, but it shows a side of Andy some folk may not know about; his physical prowess, perhaps! But above all, for me, it calls to mind his unqualified willingness to help with any projects I had going at Kervennou. He loved Kervennou, of course, and his days on the beach at Liquourice (aka Loquirec), but he was also unstinting in his help with the work of restoring the buildings there. Yet it was not just hard work; in the course of it he, Jude and I had some hilarious times, not least a result of Andys unique brand of zany humour. I wish I could recall some examples, but suffice it to say that when an amusing pun was called for, Andy could always deliver; and when they came thick and fast he could have us falling about!

Always the first to offer a hand, and with a laugh and a smile every time. If there was an award for kindness and generosity, my Uncle Andy would win gold each time. Well all miss you very much Andy, with much love always Esmé, Evie, Louisa and Jude xxxx
