Andrew, such a gentleman and always smiling. Will be thinking of my dearest cousin, his wife Gillian and the family. He was always happy to help especially when it came to working on the farm at lambing season. Our thoughts are with you all. Jennifer. Tom and family.

I had the privilege of working with Andrew for best part of 20 years at Castlemead. A true gentleman, and traditional family GP. Will miss you Andrew, thinking of all your family at this really sad time. End of an era, God bless x

How would you describe Dr Yardley, he was a kind, caring, funny and an amazing gp. He always had time for anyone even if you weren't his patient he would help and advise you.
I remember he always visited the hospital on Christmas day, he was loved by all of the staff.
Terribly sad that another little piece of our lives has been taken and my love and condolences go to his family at this very sad time but what wonderful memories he has left for us.

I am very sad to hear of Andrew‘s passing. I first met him in 1979 and he always extremely professional, helpful and enormously dedicated to his job and his patients.
I will always remember his attendance at the local Medical Society. Andrew was always late but well announced when he came. The meeting only started properly on his arrival and Andrew would then pose a variety of complex, discerning questions of eminent guest speakers. He was often amongst the last to leave. His knowledge was exceptional.
I think his car spent far more hours at the surgery than it did at home. Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

Andrew was the senior partner at Castle Mead when I started as a GP trainee in the mid 1990s. He was kind, supportive, immensely knowledgeable, and had a profound integrity and sense of fairness. He was also funny, and told the most hilarious anecdotes. I feel lucky to have had someone like him as a colleague and friend. He was one in a million.

Dr Yardley was a kind, dedicated GP, absolutely thorough in everything he did. I worked for Andrew for 28 years and consider it a privilege to have done so. He was a true Gentleman, but also so much fun, including his ‘April Fools Day’ tricks on his Staff. He was the best Boss and all of his ‘Girls’ were genuinely fond of him. Always a twinkle in his eye, he will be sadly missed
