Ron McKee

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my friend and ex boss Ron McKee. I worked with him for many years in the Air Freight Industry, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a whirlwind, a powerful presence, always fair and just. He was a great leader and although in an executive position, he thought nothing of going down into the operations department and working on the factory floor with the distribution team. RIP Ron, you were quite something.

Of course, Ron was a beloved brother and brother-in-law also! Ron's baby sister Shona sadly passed away exactly a month before her big brother. She would have really loved to have had a closer relationship with him, but geography and busy lives, perhaps, took a toll. I remember Ron as a jovial, mischievous man who was fiercely protective of his baby sister. He will be missed both by his family and friends who were geographically close and those further away.
