Despite the terrible weather throughout the ride, our Senior Funeral Director, Kevin Draper and his son, Pete completed their cycle challenge riding from the training ground of Leicester Tigers at Oval Park the full 140 miles to Cromer via Bodies Boathouse at Tallington Lakes.

Additionally, Russ Abbott, another G Seller team members completed the ride from Leicester to Tallington Lakes too.

They undertook the challenge to raise funds for The Bodie Hodges Foundation which aims to

  • Provide free respite for families from the East Midlands bereaved of a child of any age
  • Create a relaxing and safe environment that allows time for peace and reflection
  • Provide an opportunity to spend valuable time with siblings and aid their grieving
  • Promote the organ donor register

We are delighted to announce that to date they have raised £1,580 for the charity. Donations to support their endeavours can still be made online here.

Kevin Draper is delighted to have completed the ride and exceeded their target, adding, "The weather could have been kinder but in a way it brought everyone closer together on the ride as we were determined to finish, despite the atrocious conditions. This is a great charity that does some incredible work for others and raising over £1,500 makes the effort all the more worthwhile too."
