Our story started all the way back in 1910 by husband and wife duo, William and Hannah Pratt as funeral carriage providers. G. Seller became Funeral Directors in 1938 with the introduction of our own carpenters, owned by brothers Arthur and George Seller. In 1964 when George was ready to retire, Charlie Barsby was given the opportunity to purchase the business. This came with the proviso that Arthur Seller would remain employed by the company and look after the day to day running. This was the foundations for the company of today, and G. Seller is proud to have continued as a 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
Today, Joseph Barsby is the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 generation to manage G. Seller and many of our team have been with us for over 10 years. This continues into the services we provide. Every loved one we are privileged to look after is treated like our own family, this is something we have always taken great pride in throughout the many years of G. Seller.
