Joseph C. Barsby
I joined G. Seller & Co. Ltd in October 2011 and proudly became the 3rd generation of the Barsby family to come into the company. I had previously set up my own business in sports nutrition at the age of 18. I started in the memorial department, learning all aspects of memorial masonry before progressing to become the Memorial Masonry Manager. I became a qualified memorial fixer and memorial safety inspector. In 2014, my wife, Amy moved into the family business to take over my role. This meant that I could have a more holistic role within the firm, allowing me to arrange and conduct funerals, be involved with Pre-Paid Funeral Plans, Accounts and the overall development of the business.
I am a sports and car fanatic. I am an avid Leicester City fan and have a season ticket with my father, David. I also love to watch Rugby, Cricket, Formula 1 and Boxing.

I joined G. Seller & Co. Ltd in 1972. I trained to become an embalmer in London and became a qualified funeral director soon after. I have been the driving force behind the business for the last 40 years. In the last few years I’ve taken a step back from the day to day running of the business and allowed the younger generation to come to the fore. Although I still stay involved.
I like football and I’m a season ticket holder at Leicester City with my son, Joseph. I am an avid cook and quite often bring in homemade soup and bread to the office for everyone’s lunch.

I am an avid traveller, in particular on cruise ships and enjoy ballroom dancing with my husband, David.
